Susie Hoeller, Attorney

Susie Hoeller is an attorney who helps U.S. and foreign specialty food companies succeed by providing timely and pragmatic legal advice related to their product compliance, adverting and labeling, transactions with retailers and co-packers, dealings with regulators and international trade issues.

Prior to starting her own law firm in 2007, Ms. Hoeller served as the lead food lawyer for Walmart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, Arkansas. Before joining Walmart, Susie practiced law in Dallas as a partner at Jackson Walker LLP and as a senior attorney with Haynes and Boone LLP and Texas Instruments. Susie also practiced law in Portland, Maine and Chicago, Illinois. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and Colby College.

The Hoeller Law Firm has offices in Tampa Bay, Florida and NW Arkansas.

Susie currently serves on the Food Policy Advisory Council of Pasco County, Florida and the Board of Directors for the Tampa Bay chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade. She has published two books on the legal aspects of food safety and ethical food policy.

She is a contributing writer for Global Food Safety in Toronto, Canada and the Forum for International Trade Training in Ottawa, Canada.

Besides practicing law, Susie has been a co-owner with her husband of a restaurant/tour boat operation, wine import company and cattle ranch in Texas.
