Dennis Zink is a retired serial entrepreneur and the Chapter Chair of Manasota SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Exectutives). His weekly business column in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune is dead on week after week. With permission, I am reprinting his directive on how to do Strategic Planning the right way… because it is EXACTLY how I conduct strategic workshops for my specialty food clients.

Strategic planning is analytical (it involves finding the dots); and strategy formation involves synthesis (connecting the dots) via strategic thinking.
